Position Summary:
The Manager, Business Development -Technology (TechBDM) is responsible for consultatively selling and increasing sales in existing OfficeMax accounts and new business development through the growth of managed print services (MPS) and related technology services sales. 5. Identify and/or evaluate optimal technology services sales opportunities by partnering and

6. Develop a compelling and value-added technology services proposal in collaboration with the
OfficeMax proposal team, MPS analysts, and field sales team members.
7. Maintain margin and sales volume goals while increasing penetration of MPS usage by contacting

9. Develop broad and deep relationships with the customer by meeting with multiple levels of

Direct sales responsibility for Competitive Service Providers, Utilities, and MSO accounts in the state of Colorado. Specific accounts include tw telecom, Level 3 and Zayo Bandwidth. Candidate to reside in Colorado and be responsible for managing all sales aspects of existing accounts as well as the prospecting and development of new accounts within territory.
Qualifications:
5 to 10 years of successful direct sales experience managing a sales territory in a growing business environment, including prospecting and closing new accounts and opportunities, replacing an incumbent/competitor, and protecting the installed base is essential. Must have in-depth knowledge of telecom industry (Optical and Next Generation Transport, Wireless Backhaul, Data, Access and Services) as well as data and networking protocols such as Ethernet, IP, MPLS, etc. Looking for a confident self-starter who is capable of building meaningful relationships with external and internal customers at all levels within an organization. Excellent oral, written communications skills as well as listening and negotiation skills, the ability to "think on their feet", and to manage multiple sales opportunities effectively is required. Good strategic selling skills, presentation skills and the ability to establish account plans is also needed. Must be results oriented with ability to articulate the Tellabs product portfolio and business strategies, create the demand and close deals. Creativity, Innovative style a must. Travel required. Must be results orientated and comfortable carrying $5-10M individual quota.
PC skills: Ability to create / modify PowerPoint, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets are daily activities. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is expected.
